Turbochrome is wholly owned by the public traded company TAT-Technologies Group, adding jet engine component MRO capabilities to TAT's suite of services to commercial and military aviation.

Our modern, 60,000 sqft facility supports major airlines and engine shops in the world.

Today the company provides repair service to legacy jet engines and industrial gas turbines (IGT), modern military jet engines and modern commercial engines, specializing in CFM56-5B and CFM56-7B fan blade repair.

Our current management has been leading the operation for decades, maintaining a consistent policy of reinvesting in the company and the employees, ensuring the workforce is well equipped and superbly qualified.

The full array of technologies required to carry out all procedures are employed in house - ensuring stable long term control of quality.

Mickey Chen


Mr. Chen holds a B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from Tel Aviv University and an MBA from Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh. Prior to joining Turbochrome, Mr. Chen served as CEO of sophisticated electro-optic solutions provider company, for persistent surveillance, and has more than 20 years of experience in the defense industry, managing large multidisciplinary global cross-functional teams of R&D, engineering, operations, marketing and business development.


Motty Katz

Chief Technologies Officer

Mr. Katz holds a BSc and MSc in Materials Engineering from the Ben-Gurion University. He joined Turbochrome in 1979 as a materials engineer. Mr. Katz has been the company's chief Engineering Officer since 1986 and COO since 1994. As a renowned and leading metallurgist, Mr. Katz is responsible for some of the company's most advanced procedures and manufactured products. He has also headed the company's international business development activities with strategic partners. 


Robert Iancu

Chief Engineer and Director of QA

Mr. Iancu holds an MSc in mechanical engineering. He is a 6-Sigma black belt and is OPEX/Lean trained. He joined Turbochrome in 2001 as a project engineer and was appointed chief engineer in 2005. Mr. Iancu assumed the crucial role of QA director in 2011.


Aharon Yehuda


Mr. Yehuda is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). Mr. Yehuda holds a B.A. in Economics and Accounting and M.B.A. from Tel-Aviv University. Mr. Yehuda joined Turbochrome in 1999 after having a decade of experience providing advisory, IPO and audit services to public and private companies.

Chaim Pines

Director of HR and EHS

Mr. Pines joined the company in 1978 as a technician, and was shortly thereafter appointed leading foreman. In that capacity, Mr. Pines headed the planning, design and inauguration of the company's current facility in Kiryat Gat, 1997. Mr. Pines has since been the company's director of HR and environment, health and safety.


Yossi Ben David

Director of Sales & Customer Service

Mr. Ben David joined the company in 1989, and has been Sales & Customer Service manager since 2010. Prior to his current role he had been the company's production manager since 1993, responsible for commercial and military MRO, where he gained considerable experience planning and directing production
